CISD Update

Dr. Stockton gave us an informative briefing about the demographics and geographic attributes of our unique district. CISD has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards for stellar financial management and transparency as well as academic performance. Dr. Stockton also summarized the latest bond issue which includes building new schools in the Oak Ridge feeder zone, classroom updates, district wide campus security improvements, and substantial changes to Austin Elementary and Conroe High School. With this $487 million bond referendum, Dr. Stockton doubts there will be a tax increase, and he encouraged us to vote on November 3rd.
