The Woodlands Rotary Club also has after-hours meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.  This “Rotary After Hours” or “RAH” meeting is ideal for those professionals who find it difficult to attend the weekly Club luncheons on a regular basis, but would like to be involved with the service and social activities of our Club.  The RAH meeting group leads several service projects to better our community, with a focus on youth.  The lead service project for RAH supports Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS) by sponsoring a periodic BBQ and other activities for the residents of MCYS.   RAH also holds an Annual Crawfish Boil to benefit The Woodlands Rotary Club’s scholarship program for area high school students and deserving Lone Star College Students.

The meetings on the first Tuesday are held at Back Table in The Woodlands (near The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center at 2301 N Millbend Drive.  The third Tuesday meeting is a social mixer to allow those who might be interested in joining Rotary to meet local Rotarians in an informal setting at a local restaurant in The Woodlands.  The mixer is also held at Back Table.

If you are interested in attending a Rotary After Hours meeting or to learn more about our RAH service projects, contact either Trent Eckel via email at trent.eckel@frostbank.com (or by cell at (713) 557-9385) or Carmen Zimmerman at cgzimm@msn.com or (281) 733-7892.  Those of us who regularly attend the Rotary After Hours meeting strive, as our reflected in our mission statement, to be a community of servant leaders with character and integrity who attract, retain, inspire and unite with other leaders to make our club, our community, and ourselves better.  If you would like to contribute to our mission by becoming a member, come to our next meeting and learn how you can help!
