Rotary Youth Exchange - A Two-Way Program

In and Out, Sending and Receiving

INBOUND

Nine inbound school year Rotary Youth Exchange students from
eight countries completed their initial orientation session in Galveston
on the weekend of August 27-29 and are starting their year hosted by
nine clubs in our district.

OUTBOUND

Five outbound students from our district, two from The Woodlands completed
their orientation and training this summer and are beginning their year as a 
Rotary Youth Exchange Student in other countries around the world.

SHORT TERM EXCHANGE

Seven young people of our district completed exchange visits with matched
students from France and Germany during the summer.  While at the same time
monitoring current exchanges, both in and out, 
the District Rotary Youth Exchange
Committee is preparing for short term exchanges in summer 2012  and 
long term
exchanges for the school year of 2012 -2013

 

Applications are being accepted for both short term (3-4 weeks) and school year 
exchanges.  School year applications are due by November 15.  Short term
applications are due by  November 30.

 Late applications will be considered, but opportunities are somewhat reduced.
