Join Us At Our Next Rotary Lunch Meeting.

Dear  ,

We look forward to seeing you at our Thursday Lunch Meeting.

Guest Speaker: David Mittelman

Topic: Othram - Cold Case Resolution

AND Thankful Third Thursday Coffee Club!

Forensics and justice for all. Justice is not a luxury; it is a basic human right.

Safety is an expectation of modern society and can only be achieved when justice is universal.

Society requires infrastructure — roads, bridges, highways — and so does the criminal justice system.

At Othram, we are building the roads and underlying infrastructure that will deliver justice for all cases, everywhere.

Arrive early (11:00AM) to The Woodlands Country Club, get great parking space and a seat at the back table!

On the way to the back table, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some informal time with fellow Rotarians.

We all can join in being thankful for all we have, and sharing with others.

This month we're collecting professional clothing and accessories for the students of Lone Star College - Montgomery.  The items may be brought to this meeting OR taken directly to Lone Star College's Maverick Care Center (Building D, 2nd Floor).  Matthew Samford's information is below if your church or workplace would like to contribute.

No clothing to donate?  Consider bringing Peanut Butter for the Montgomery County Food Bank.  Did you know the Food Bank partners with over 90 organizations to feed our neighbors?

The Food Bank fights hunger alongside faith partners, food pantries, schools, nonprofit service organizations and senior living facilities.  These Montgomery County Food Bank partner agencies serves as the primary link between the Food Bank and our neighbors facing hunger, including the Maverick Care Center.

Notable Mentions:

Rotarians, family, co-workers, neighbors are needed to help in the Produce Rescue Center. The Montgomery County Food Bank feeds 1,000 of our fellow residents each day. All people interested must set up a personal account and sign the appropriate forms: FROM FOOD BANK: In this shift, you will help us sort and organize refrigerated products to get them ready for distribution to those in need in Montgomery County. Produce Rescue volunteers save tons of produce every year, helping to provide high-nutrition fruits and vegetables to our neighbors in need and keeping it out of the landfills. Every day can be a different experience depending on the inventory supply or demand, but will include either food sorting or building family boxes and senior/kids produce bags. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This is a great opportunity to have fun (and stay cool) while you do GOOD! TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Please review our Code of Conduct Our Produce Rescue Center is a refrigerated room kept at about 45 degrees. Volunteers should bring their own coat, gloves, and hat/warm headwear. Clean out your pantry before your shift! Feel free to bring any food items you'd like to donate—regardless of dents or expiration dates.
Members of The Rotary Club of The Woodlands will be serving at the Montgomery County Food Bank in their Produce Rescue Center. They need 15 people to serve in the produce cooler, dress appropriately.

To streamline the event and ensure a smooth experience, please have all participants register via the following link:https://mcfoodbank.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/rotary
