Thursday Luncheon: Chuck Meyer, Member, "The AI Whisperer"

Our very own Chuck Meyer—a UVA-trained systems engineer and a 41-year patent professional with a legal pedigree spanning both the US and Europe (including a law degree from Oxford)—is stepping up to the podium to claim a title you won’t find on his official Rotary badge: The AI Whisperer. Drawing on a unique family legacy that includes his cousin, the world-famous horse whisperer John Solomon Rarey who tamed Queen Victoria's most vicious stallion, "Cruiser," Chuck will demonstrate how he applies that same "calm command" to the wild world of Generative AI.

By bridging his experience as a young engineer designing communication links for the Pentagon with his tenure as a global legal and business leader for BlackBerry, he will show us how to move past the hype and anxiety of the modern "AI Beast." Join us for a fascinating look at how we can use the logic of the Rotary Four-Way Test to synchronize these powerful new machines with our professional values, replacing the fear of the unknown with the precision of an engineered, ethical transmission.
