Let's Volunteer & Make A Difference

ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
Make a Difference at Hailey Elementary School (CISD)
Rotary brings together a global network of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. We use our knowledge of local issues to identify areas of need, then apply our expertise and diverse perspectives to the problem. Our Rotary members are most likely at work in your community right now feeding the hungry, tutoring children, maintaining parks, and more. You can help.
Weekly Volunteer Positions Available:
Mentor Student(s) on a scheduled/consistent basis
Academic support
Work with flash cards and/or education games
Tutor in preferred subject (teacher-generated materials)
Assist the librarian with reshelving books, checking in/out books for students and supporting students in finding books
Support fine arts classes (ie PE, library, art, music) with your presence and/or experience
Meet with special interest club during recess weekly for 6-8 weeks. Could be an interest you would like to share with others like chess, drawing, origami...
Volunteer Positions as you are available:
Help with traffic flow of vehicles and students at arrival and dismissal times
Walk the campus & perimeter checking locks & doors
Assist at lunch
Assist at recess
Support fine arts classes (ie PE, library, art, music) with your presence and/or experience
Read with classes or tutor small groups of students
Assist in a classroom
Chaperon on a field trip
Assist during special event like yearly carnival, talent show, etc.
Play or referee on the playground or in the gym
Featured guest on morning announcements
Guest read in PK or during Library time

Go to the CISD Home Page
Click on Community
Click on Volunteer in CISD
Click on the Volunteer Application link
Complete the application and select "submit" when complete
The Principal(s) at the campus(es) you select will be notified that you have submitted an application
You and the campus principal will be notified via e-mail within 2 weeks that you application was approved or if there is a problem that requires further clarification
